HFF…far north Pakistan

From Fairy Meadows, the high altitude summer grazing meadows at 3,300 meters. It ends at the giant 39sq km Raikot Glacier at the face of the 8,126m Nanga Parbat massif. It was well worth the hair-raising Jeep drive and subsequent nightmare horse ride to get here and stay a couple of nights in this extremely beautiful place. It is also a stop on the access to Nanga Parbat base camps. Nanga Parbat is commonly known as the Killer Mountain as it has taken the lives of many professional mountaineers attempting to summit it.
