Hello, Leonora .....thanks...this time in Sri Lanka went mostly up to the far North, into the former war zones...very sobering. Previous visits it was inaccessible because of conflict.
Did stay in Kandy...have an Aus-Sri Lankan close friend and we stayed with him and his mother in the family's ancestral bungalow overlooking the lake......
A beautiful, but sad country. North is very untouched by tourism, and really fascinating.
