Sad landscape

I recently returned along the road for the first time in years. It had been sealed for the use of logging trucks and I was appalled at what has been done by the forestry industry. Not only have vast areas been clear-felled, but they are being replaced by forests of non-native pines (the dark areas in the background). These are totally unsuited to the natural biota of the area.
Amelia, Malik Raoulda, Alass, Fred Fouarge and 18 other people have particularly liked this photo

What a world do we leave to our grandchildren?????
Apparently, however, the pursuit of profit takes precedence over the preservation of a healthy nature and the global climate - as in Brazil...
I know how beautiful and relaxing it is to hike through eucalyptus forests from my travels to the Canary Islands...
Congratulations to you for this "sad" photo and explanations!
No congratulations to the forest industry for this choice to replant non-native species!!......
And then we complain about climate change!
Beautiful painting!

Wünsche noch einen schönen Nachmittag, ganz liebe Grüße Güni :))
Non natives species are a bad idea. You would think they would
know better by now! I can imagine how it must have upset you
to see such a change.
Un superbe partage très révélateur et très évocateur.
Bonne et agréable fin de semaine.
have a good weekend, George !
