Gilleleje Bird station where ring marking and registration is done. Many bird photographers also gather here during the Spring and Autumn Migrations. It is about 2.5 km from my house.

Yes Pam, the Birders. I have not noticed what they get up to but . . . .
One thing though is that there are often many interesting birds feeding there or anywhere inland during migrations.

Both yes and no with birds in flight Bernard, it depends a lot on the bird and flight height. Most of mine are done freehand. Tripods are of course essential for several things though.

Yes Sanna, it is the centre of the migration route for birds wanting to go somewhere warmer.
Many of our Gulls travel to Thailand.
