this looks best at night when the finish doesn't look so tacky. harbour viewing tower beside the tacky '80s style shopping centre of 2001. the tower a millenium tower only built 2000-8 with the council having to come up with 11 million pounds to bail it out; several councillors were forced to resign, the glass external lift had to be removed and a chair escape added to evacuate disabled visitors. it's supposed to last another 20-30 years.
