eye church, suffolk

arms of john de la pole, 2nd duke of suffolk, held by an angel. these appear on the very top of the tower, and may imply completion prior to 1472, as the garter awarded then does not appear. the arms are made up of pole's leopard heads and the burghersh double tailed lion, his mother's mother being a burghersh.
