lions and heraldic arms on the kestevene brass of c.1361. it was this shield that led to the positive identification of the brass in 1949 when documents where found in the archives of westminster abbey bearing the same with the name of the vicar of north mymms 1344-61 , william de kestevene. the stag under his feet is unique as far as I am aware.
