rettendon church, essex

c15 tower and priest's house, c13 chancel with much restoration by chancellor in 1895-8. church very locked. it struck me that the church in general is becoming more and more exclusive, forgetting that it is supposed to be the servant of the people of england. how dare it treat our churches as a private club, discriminating against people because of their gender or sexuality. the church should be an example of righteousness, not of hatred and inequality.
