st.tudy church, cornwall

everyone refers to this and its 3 local companions as a hogback, which is obviously not the case; there is no roof ridge, no bears, and the shape is rather that of a coffin than architectural. to call it a hogback implies a close link with those northumbrian tombs, and that is not the case. probably pre-conquest, maybe c10, possibly a shrine. bigger than I expected too.
