every time I've photographed this c16 pulpit, I've been told off by a warden; last time it was because people are taking photos and selling them for lots of money ( I wish ! ) , then it was because photography would damage it, even without flash, and before that it was because it might make it easier to steal. obviously, not a lot of real worries in launceston if the inhabitants have to be so inventive !
