this landscaped group consists of two memorials set on two islands in the new river , an urn under the weeping willow of c.1800 by robert mylne to sir hugh myddleton, the instigator of the project to supply clean water to london 40 miles away in 1609-13, and the other of 1818 on the right here with poems to the river itself.
