bishops canning church

c13 corbel table head on north transept. this one is hidden away in a corner, and is less likely to be a victorian invention.by this period such corbels were well out of date, these differ from norman ones by having the moulded corbel showing on each side of the head like ear muffs or a head dress. the church has several details which hark back to an earlier age.
