Shortly after this, the moon disappeared behind a veil of haze and distant clouds.
With the rising sun behind me, the sky got brighter, drowning out the very faint glow of the eclipsed moon.

On a flat island like Juist you don't have many obstacle blocking the view. This tower stands at the entrance of the harbor and was at the right place. And the harbor wasn't too far from my hotel :-))
