As all sport photos I try to get a fast shutter (1/500s and faster). But at soccer I also try to get a aperture higher then 4, because to get the others players sharp, too. At gymnastics or swimming you only need to get the gymnast or swimmer sharp, here you have to try to get more into the sharpness. Not easy in a sport hall, but outside you mostly have that light.
