In honour of International Girl's Day on 11 October, coloured LEGO has presented a life-size statue of Belgium's Olympic hero Nafissatou Thiam at the Entrance hall to Brussels' Gare Centrale Belgium
The life-size statue of Nafi Thiam will be visible at Gare Centrale's ticket hall until 17 October, following which it will be moved to the Rue Neuve street until the end of November 2022
In total, the statue of Thiam took 110 hours to build. 19.000 blocks were used and the statue weighs 54 kilograms

Nafissatou (Nafi) Thiam (Brussel, 19 augustus 1994) became Olympic champion in the heptathlon in 2016 and 2021. She was world champion in 2017 and 2022, and European champion in 2018 and 2022.

Straw dolls are popping up here and there in Flemish Brabant, playful figures made with rolls or bales of straw. The initiative comes from the Groene Kring, the organization of young farmers, who want to show that they are proud of their farming trade and they would like to continue like this in the future
