Fritz-Lehment-Speicher

Lehment storehouse building build in 1890 by architect Heinrich Moldenschardt on the Fabrikstraße. It was at the end building of the Fritz Lehment spirits factory at the Holstenstraße. The storehouse was built as a neo-Gothic brick building with stepped gables and tower-like crests, a typical industrial building for it's country of origin at that time. Originally it was located near the quay, which is nowadys further away, seperated by Kaistraße and Schwedenkai terminal. On it's east face you can see very well the typical structure of the gable with centered loading gates and lateral storeroom floorings.
Today it is used as an administrative building for the citizen centre and regulatory agency.
The Firtz Lehment storehouse is listed as a cultural monument.
