Very typical Finnish tradition is to take shoes off at home, and even when visiting at someone else's home. Finnish houses are well insulated against cold and damp, but wearing warm socks, and decorating floors with rugs are still very typical in Finnish homes. And there is often an extra pair of socks also for quests.

It's also here a tradition to take shoes off at home and I also wear often warm knitted socks - yours seems also self knitted, isn't it? Luckily at the moment we can go barefoot! ;-DD

Great knitted socks. We also take off shoes both at home and when visiting. Don't need any socks at the moment as I like going barefoot in the summer.
