Wadi Qelt, in der Judäischen Wüste, führt über das ganze Jahr über Wasser. Aus diesem Grund wurde bereits vor 2200 Jahren der Bach mit Äquadukten ausgebaut um die fortwährende Belieferung mit Wasser von Jericho zu sichern. Der Weg durch das Wadi Qelt führt von Jerusalem nach Jericho.
