erinnerungen an christos reichstagverpackung 1995: unser zweijähriger wollte unbedingt das tuch anfassen, ein ordner schickte ihn weg, aber j. war schneller und holte hinter dem tuch eine colaflasche raus, die der ordner dort gebunkert hatte. memories: at the 1995 christo wrapped reichstag performance, our two year old j. wanted to touch the cloth. a security guard tried to prevent that. j. was quicker and raised the cloth: there was bottle behind it, kept there by the same securityman. PiP: 20 years later (2007)

This albino blackbird came to our backyard for a couple of years. It was not as shy as the other blackbirds and did not even fly away from our cat, which actually did ignore it. My mother almost cried when this bird did not return. I guess white blackbirds are a rarity, at least in Germany, where this picture was taken. Whenever I told somebody about it, they did not believe and I had to show them this picture.

i do not know if the situation still looks the same, it´s been almost 20 years... it is thirty years by now!

It´s been a while ago. On a cold and windy december day on the Danish Baltic coast I walked around with a couple of friends, when I found this lightbulb. I put it in upright position and wanted to take the photo of a deserted beach (something like "the day after") But first I had to wait for my friends to leave the frame. After a while I did not care anymore and just took the picture - it was too cold to wait much longer. After all it has come out even better with some people in the background. This was done with a small and cheap autofocus automatic film camera, no postproduction. Sorry for the scratches - I scanned a 17 year old print.
