Thanks, Sami. Just have a look, there must be a similar lens for the G5. It is not a "real" macro-lens, though. Very hard to find the sharpness-point. I think it won´t be possible to make pictures of living objects.

Yes, that is the problem with simple magnifying glass approach. But try to turn that into advantage and find subjects and point of views where the shallow depth of field works. Although, that adds an extra challenge...

Ja, meine Liebste hat die beiden Telefonapparate (weiß und schwarz) mit Originalteilen repariert in die Ehe eingebracht und jetzt sind die Schmuckstücke begehrt. Freunde unserer Kinder fragen immer, ob sie es mal ausprobieren dürfen, damit zu wählen - sie kennen es eben nicht mehr.

Der Telekom-Mechaniker, der damals unseren DSL-Anschluss installiert hat, meinte, es sei unmöglich, das alte Analogtelefon weiter zu betreiben. Wir haben darauf bestanden und das hat seinen Ehrgeiz geweckt. Jetzt klingelt in jedem Stockwerk so ein altes Teil (im vierten das weiße, im dritten das schwarze). Leider lässt sich die Klingel nicht leise stellen und man kann mit dem Telefon nicht herumgehen. Nachteile, die man in Kauf nehmen muss.

Die werden von Generation zu Generation vererbt. Schwierig nur, sie bei den heutigen Telefongewohnheiten am Leben zu erhalten - lautes Klingeln, ortsfest, keine Wahlwiederholung, keine Rufnummernanzeige....trotzdem, als bloße Museumsstücke zu schade.

Yes, indeed, memories: When the loved one did not call back and I had to wait close to the phone in order not to miss the most important call in the world.

Ich habe neulich erst mein analoges Tastentelefon entsorgt, aber das war eh häßlich;-)

Oh, this phone brings back memories ! My Dad used to work for Bell Laboratories in New York before transferring to North Carolina.
I remember it was such a big deal when we got one that wasn't black -- but couldn't tell you which color it was ( knowing my parents it was a conservative color ).

Almost forgot -- we used to put heavy green tape on the bell to tone it down .. think Dad brought it home from work after he went to Western Electric.

That´s a good idea, Peggy. Usually, when we watch a TV show, grandma is calling (she is one of the few who do call on the landline phone) and the ringing bell annoys us very much.
