House Wren Nest

House Wrens usually construct a nest in cavities, natural or man-made (often using bird houses). This nest is in the cavity of a tree along the trail around Golden Ponds Nature Area in Longmont, Colorado. You can just see the barring on the wing and/or tail in this shot. Taken on June 16, 2010.
