Northern Shoveler


This Northern Shoveler was showing some interesting behavior when I found her. Normally a dabbling duck, she was diving for her meal. That, coupled with the pale edges to her coverts, made me hesitate briefly on identification. That being said, that prodigious bill could lead me to no other ID.
