I've been living in Spain for 7 years and I still can't get over the fact that the translation of the word 'nut' is 'nuez'. But in Spain, 'nuez', means one thing and one thing only; 'walnut'. What we call 'nuts', in general, they call 'frutos secos' (dried fruit). What we call sweet shops, they just have the shop sign 'Frutos Secos'. All very strange to me still!
