First stop on the way to the mountains was the Sydney Olympic Park, built for the 2000 games. I can't believe it's been 12 years since those games!

The Olympic torch is now a fountain with the names of all the medal winners inlaid in the shallow pool that was very shallow this day...dry.

Second stop, the Featherdale Wildlife Sanctuary. They have a leathery patch on their rumps to help them wedge into the forks of tree branches. The koala wishes he had one too.

This little guy is a Quokka, native only to the southwestern tip of Western Australia. You can get an idea of his small size by the ice cream cone in the background.
