My father saw the toy lion in a store window and purchased it on a whim (undoubtedly influence by the spirits of the holidays) and brought it home. He did say he got some great looks from fellow drivers.

Great Aunt Esther, Great Aunt Kate, Grandma G., Aunt Lorraine, Mom at the bar in our basement. In those days suburban Chicago homes either had a bar or a bomb shelter. It wasn't much of a choice for Dad.
