As I was scanning the old pics for a suitable submission to post for this week's theme, OUT IN THE YARD OR GARDEN, I stopped at this one and smiled, remembering this day so vividly. The occasion was a rare gathering of my dad's family at our home. The weather had been perfect, everyone wore a smile, and near the end, when most of the Wisconsin kin had left for the long ride home, a group photo was suggested. Following the family standard, it is a bit blurry but it's the best damn family photo we ever made. And now, coming to grips with the fact that I am the last survivor of this group is extremely difficult. How can it be? Standing: Alice, Carl, Aunt Lorraine, Uncle Dick.
