Found among my mother's things

How did they get us to all sit still for this? Where did all those blondes come from? Why did my mother dress me in short pants? Who makes shirts for five-year-old with french cuffs. So many questions. I believe this photo was taken on the first day of school, which may account for all of the dazed expressions.
