I didn't realize your sister had passed away, Rick. I'm sorry. Did that happen a while ago?
This is such a sweet photo of her - what a wonderful, happy little face!
And yes, it's pretty difficult to stay optimistic when every day brings a new, horrible and pathetic edict.

Thanks, Deborah. Yes, she died in 2010 after a three-year stuggle with lung cancer. The times are challenging but I keep reminding myself that we've survived dark times before and hopefully will again. Just hoping we don't come to accept it as normal.
