Thinking that you posted this in September 2022, rather than in January, I was all set to pronounce on how impressed I was with the youngsters in the País Vasco still wearing masks!

Andy he sacado esa foto entre las que tomé a mediados de enero pasado. Actualmente es muy raro ver alguien con mascarilla. Incluso en Supermercados ganan por goleada los que no la llevan. Únicamente es aún obligatoria en los transportes públicos. En el metro, los empleados de seguridad al que vean sin mascarilla lo sacan del vagón en la siguiente estación.

That never happens on the Madrid metro and more and more people (not just rebellious youngsters) are discarding their masks and no-one says a word (except me: I swear in Anglo-Saxon at them under my breath!).
It's not a joke for me as I am immuno-compromised and could easily catch covid again especially as there is immune-escape with this Omicron B5 varient. Covid-19 nearly killed me three times in two months last year and I spent 5 months in hospital. I'd rather not go through all that again!
