Traitor's Gate


Located beneath St. Thomas' Tower which was built by Edward I between 1275 and 1279. It was the main watergate giving access to the outer ward from the Thames. The name has been used since the early 16th Century when many Tudor prisoners were brought down the Thames on a barge and into the Tower this gate. The Tower of London, London, England.
