Tower Ravens

In Her Majesty's Royal Palace and Fortress of the Tower of London. The ravens are said to hold the power of the Crown itself and should they leave the tower, the Crown of England will fall. But, they have never left and, since the reign of Charles II, 300 years ago, they have been under Royal Protection. They are looked after by the Tower Ravenmaster. Each bird has one of its wings clipped so it cannot fly too far. London, England. Scanned 35mm negative. (Eng-05005)
