Cetonia aurata (PiP)

Der Gemeine Rosenkäfer (Cetonia aurata) wird auch als Goldglänzender Rosenkäfer bezeichnet und erreicht eine Größe von 20 mm. Im Gegensatz zu anderen Käfern kann der Rosenkäfer die Flügeldecken nicht öffnen, da diese an der Naht miteinander verwachsen sind. Um zu fliegen werden die Hautflügel bei Bedarf seitlich herausgeschoben. Cetonia aurata gehört zur Familie der Blatthornkäfer.
