I use macro lenses that allow 1:1 imaging, like the 45mm from Panasonic or the 60mm from Olympus.
A flash or a good torch (with a high CRI value for colour-neutral light) is necessary in most cases.
To get the details, shoot with low ISO values and improve the depth of field by using a high aperture value.
