Ponta de São Lourenço

Die „Sankt-Lorenz-Spitze“ (Ponta de São Lourenço) ist ein Naturschutzgebiet im Osten von Madeira. Neben dem dunklen Vulkangestein Trachyt gibt es auch hellen und rötlichem Tuffstein zu bewundern. Nur die Sonne hat sich auf unserer Wanderung kaum sehen lassen.

Eine karge aber eindrucksvolle Landschaft. Und die Sonne muß auch nicht immer unbedingt ... Wenn die hier richtig runterbrennt, kann das bestimmt auch unangenehm werden. Schatten scheint es keinen weiter zu geben. ;-)

Bis ganz zum Kap waren wir nicht. Ca. 2/3 der Strecke haben wir geschafft, dann sind wir umgedreht und haben uns auf den Weg nach Porto da Cruz gemacht. Gruß Uwe
