Anna-Forcke-Stift

Das Anna-Forcke-Stift in Barsinghausen diente ab 1908 als Schwesternwohnheim. In 50 Zimmern waren hier alte und kranke Schwestern untergebracht. Für damalige Verhältnisse nicht unbedingt selbstverständlich hatte jedes Zimmer einen Wasseranschluss. Darüber hinaus gab es auf jeder Etage einen Baderaum und Toiletten. Nach seiner Schließung 1998 wurde das Gebäude von Vandalismus, einem Brand und Hausschwamm heimgesucht und ließ es zusehends verfallen.
Jetzt soll das im Jugendstil erbaute Gebäude als stationäres Hospiz wieder hergerichtet werden. Es befindet sich in schönster Hanglage am Deister in Barsinghausen. Benannt ist es nach der Diakonisse und Oberin des Henriettenstiftes (Hannover) Anna Forcke (1836-1904).
