I have reduced the orange discoloration and was tempted to try it in black and white. I am not sure whether this was taken before or after preservation. I have dated it circa 1965 because that is when steam was on the way out. It definitely wasn't today!
This is most likely to have been on the lines around Ledbury, if it is one of Dad's, which is why I have uploaded it into the Great Western group, but I couldn't be sure where. The track is interesting as what should be point blades seem to turn into check rails. The track goes over a bridge and around a bend. I suppose it could have been a single railcar but I don't think the window is angled as on the GWR type.
LATER - Although I lost the full explanation I got for this track layout, when I moved from Flickr, this appears to be a temporary interlacing of two tracks to reduce the lines' width, while work is being done on the bridge.
On 12.10pm to Bath Green Park
There is an almost identical shot of 82004 at www.ipernity.com/doc/364457/26493287 and an earlier one at www.ipernity.com/doc/364457/26521777
82004 on the 12.10pm to Bath Green Park at Bristol…
From a group of loose prints, many of which seem to be by Michael Brown of Harrogate. This one doesn't have a named photographer, but the notes on the back look like MB's.
Sorry about the angled crop on the top. The photo was taken at an angle. If it had been plain sky I would have cut and pasted more in, but this was too complicated to reconstruct!
