This abstract has been created in Photoshop Elements, using a couple of free 'brushes'. These are more like stamps. The loop shapes are from one brush used either single dabs or trailed across resulting in the spring or net-like shapes. With these shapes highlighted a rainbow effect was sprayed across these layers and then they were merged together. The other wavelike brush starts a single stamp that is then stretched across the width of the image. A second one is stretched into a different shaped wave. The various shapes are then given 'drop shadows' and the layers are finally compressed into the 2D image.
