Is the signal box still used as a signal box?

It is difficult to see what other use it could be put to. Some old boxes have been taken over by local enthusiasts or community groups, but most have been demolished. The timber work needs constant repainting and repairs, which, in a position close to a busy station with electrified third rail track, would be tricky to achieve.

Ok, thanks Phil. I've heard of two or three in Australia becoming model railway club houses. There was one, a substantial brick construction at a junction in Sydney (around 300 tons weight) which was relocated to a more accessible location for some change of use but don't know what to.
