It was one of the second flowering of this rose, in a friend's garden. I find that with many roses the second flowering produces smaller prettier roses. We have one by our front door with deep red cabbage-like flowers. They are so heavy that they droop. The second time round they are quite a bit lighter and more open.

Many thanks, Jaap. I hope your weekend is a good one. We have a bank/public holiday on Monday and traditionally that means poor weather! Saturday looks sunny, but cooler than recent weeks, Sunday will be rainy and Monday will be cloudy and cool!
