An excellent collection of Emily Young's work. U0iitl I saw these the only work of hers I had seen was the heads on columns at the top of Ludgate Hill, so my knowledge of her work is now considerably better rounded. Next time I'm in line I'll make sure to visit these sculptures.

Thanks, John. These are behind Tate Modern, around Hopton's Garden and beneath the NEO development. Southwark Street is on the other side of the development. You can see their scale in one of the other head's photo where there is the back view of a passerby.
I only came across this group and the Family in Residence when I was checking out works that I had photographed 10 years ago. I did a photo survey of public artworks in the London Borough of Southwark, initially as a personal project, but eventually with a little sponsorship from the Council. Having kept all my files, I have offered to give one of the 2018 season of lectures run to raise funds for our local church, on Southwark's public artworks. so I thought I had better check whether the ones I intend to use to illustrate the talk were still in place. One has been relocated, with the Design Museum to the other side of London. One has had all its lovely verdigris polished off. The Monument to an Unknown Artist, near these heads, has had its moving parts fail. Then I found these new works. So it's just as well I made the effort to up-date myself!
