I am not a 'walker'. I walk places to take photos - in the main. I get too puffed to walk the Seven Sisters for example. I have done it once since we moved here in '09. But there are plenty of places to take photos within reasonable reach of public transport. This shot was taken within a couple of hundred yards of the A259 - aka the no.12 bus route.

I agree about the light and shade. I went out specifically because there were lots of fluffy white clouds about. Sometimes it can be a bit frustrating waiting for the sun to fall on the key piece of the landscape, but the clouds were moving quite fast yesterday.
