Lewes 19 - 22 High Street - 19.2.2014
This series of photos of Lewes was taken while I was killing time, after shopping, as I had just missed a half-hourly train home. I wasn't sure how they would come out as the light wasn't good. This is the south side of the street and so is more in shade. I think that the ISO was 800 for most of them. As they are not for prints, I think they are OK. In fact the shop lights make the pictures more lively.

What a nice characteristic little town is Lewes (never heard before, but thanks of your reportages I'm learning a lot about Your beautiful country)

Lewes has many old buildings and has not had any modern shopping centres built in the middle of town, so there are very few buildings that look the same. Almost every one has different doors, roofs, windows, proportions and details. The variety of building materials and finishes is also quite large, with a lot of timber framed buildings with tiles hung on the walls, making some of them look as is they are built of brick. There are also several streets where a dark grey variety of brick has been used.
