St Margarets Station 1973
One of the only photos Dad took of SR emus. He lived at St.Margaret's for several years in the 1970s, but never got used to trains without locomotives at the front.

Ah! but they've won! There are precious few loco hauled passenger services now. The 125 High Speed Trains are the main exception and they look like multiple units, travelling in fixed sets. They will be on the way out, as the electrification programme spreads out across the UK.
