Our summer holidays were nearly all on an accommodation for duty basis. My father was an Anglican clergyman and he would exchange vicarages, or the like, and take Sunday services and deal with emergencies, while his opposite number would do the same in his parish. In this case we were exchanging a house in The Vicar's Close in Wells, Somerset for a parish in Margate. Where ever we stayed he would photograph trains. In fact there are far more railway photos in his albums than family snapshots! Looking through his railway photos to upload them, brought back a lot of memories of family holidays.
