Great Crested Grebe - Newhaven - 22.6.2013


This bird was swimming against the tide, upstream of Newhaven Swing Bridge, powered only by one leg. The left leg was clearly damaged. It remained virtually on the same spot for over ten minutes - after which I carried on with my shopping trip.
