In my haste to flee Flickr, I lost the information about the location of this scene, supplied by a Flickr contact, although it must be easily identifiable by those who know northern railways!
This photograph comes from a collection of postcard-style prints, collected by W.Beckerlegge and acquired by my father. There are two main sources of these commercial photos, produced around the 1923 grouping, W.H.Whitworth (WHW) and the Locomotive Publishing Company (LPC). This one however has a trademark horseshoe with T.I.C. inside it. The photographers have not been credited on the prints, so cannot be recorded here.

, have particularly liked this photo

I'm sure I've seen this photo elsewhere, or one from a similar viewpoint; I stand to be corrected, but I think this is Aberdeen.

It is a commercially published photo so you may well have seen it before. It was also on my Flickr pages in the past. Aberdeen would make sense. There can't be many large stations in the GNSR area. I think I have seen a coloured postcard of a similar view.
