Get Bus(y) Festival Fringe bus

Folder: Brighton & Hove
Number 421 in the Brighton & Hove fleet, this was the first in the Get Bus(y) series and coincided with the annual Brighton Festival & Festival Fringe in May 2015.

The bus company's website has a page which explains the background.

The design is by Jason McQuillen, working under the 'iownthisart' moniker (instragram link).

Get on go somewhere Fringe

In support of the Brighton Festival Fringe , Brighton and Hove Bus Company have vinyl wrapped a double decker with artwork by locally-based artist Jason McQuillen (aka "iownthisart" ). Performances take place on the bus on Saturdays during May. There's a short film explaining more on Brighton & Hove's YouTube channel.

421 as evening approaches

The parking post doesn't add a great deal to the photo, but there was a taxi anxious to get on to the rank (and, by the look of the driver, not averse to making a mess of the picture). Anyway, you can clearly see the multi-coloured lighting inside brightening up a dreary scene outside Hove Station.

On the Festival Fringe bus

You can clearly see the art applied to the lower deck of the Festival Fringe art bus, as well as the multi-coloured lighting strips

Top of the stairs

This is the (somewhat disconcerting!) view that greets you as you climb the stairs on the Brighton & Hove Festival Fringe bus
