There isnt a day I dont miss her.. and I hear myself sometimes and wonder when exactly I became her ! I still "talk" to her. I was just 14 when she died...we we great friends.

It's a small world; My dad was posted to India in WW11 and my Uncle, Cdr John Horn was in Burma during WW11

Dad was on Long Range Penetration behind Japanese lines for nearly 4 year. Survival rate was reckoned at 2 weeks....... He came home....he was one of the very lucky ones.

It was a family name Mum's side... GGrandM - Sarah (pronounced Sa-rahhh) Keturah (Kitty),,,

Sadly my sister and I missed out on it and it died with Mum.

I would have loved to had it.... dearly.... not to be and I had no-one to pass it too. My sister had 2 boys.. she never wanted a girl and never got one.

And no... no Jewish ancestry at all and we weren't a religious family

So many of her generation all over the world lived through bad times.... so many still do.

You would think mankind had learned their lessons... but they never have.

Only the Good die young, Pam. She looks dignified and beautiful. They don't make folk like that anymore...at least not often. God rest her soul.

She was a wonderful funny /serious / clever / pretty inside and outside person.

She was a teacher.. and one who made a real difference to the kids she taught.

She was a beautiful lady, Pam. I love the colour of her hair. It is lovely to have photos like this to look back on. One of my favourite pictures of my mum was one of her holding me as a baby. She looked about fourteen! Now every doctor, policeman and postman look about the same age!!!
