Bumble Bee on a Bluebell

Its a Bluebell. The lens is the fixed lens on the Cybershot DSC-HX100V. I am saving up for the seperate macro lens for the alpha65.

I do love macro.. its a wonderful world ! He was actually stroking the lens at times with his leg.

This is one of my all time favourites. They let me lay in the ground beside them and it just played out beautifully !

that is way too close for my comfort, I am allergic to these guys! What an awesome shot, so crisp and clear and that flower is luscious!

It has to be scarey to have that allergy.. but these Fuzzies are very tolerant.. I picked one up today who was cold and hungry and put it on a flower to feed... I was wary but he just seemed to be happy to soak in the warmth of my hand and to feed ! To sting is to die for them... perhaps that is what makes them tolerant.

The Bluebells remind me of Home... I planted the bulbs for that reason. Bluebell woods are few and far between these days... the perfume and the colour are unforgettable.
