Perhaps this is better when viewed on black (Press Z).

The children's hand prints are on a sea-container painted in the colours of the Aboriginal flag during NAIDOC celebrations. NAIDOC is the week which recognises Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders as the original Australians.

On the outside of a building in Fitzroy, Melbourne. Australians will, I hope, understand the tragic double meaning of the title. As one of my friends would point out, "Always was, always will be Aboriginal land."

Coolup, South-west highway, WA.
I have passed this building many times over the past ten years. I don't think it has never been open or occupied. I seem to remember petrol pumps there once upon a time, but maybe memory plays me false.
The highway down to the south west can be quite busy but has been superseded by the John Forrest Highway which bypasses Mandurah and Pinjarra. Eventually the building will be demolished and forgotten.
